MEDICAL TATTOOING

Breast masectomy.jpeg

Have you lost your eyebrows or eyelashes due to medication or an illness?
Do you have scar tissue that you want to camouflage?
Have you had Breast reconstruction and left with no areoles?
Do you have a cleft palate and struggle to apply lipstick?

NIPPLE & AREOLA TATTOING

There are a number of reasons why women (and some men) are in need of medical tattoo treatments for the breast area.

I can work on the diffusion of scars, areola re-sizing and symmetry correction, nipple colour enhancement and full areola reconstruction following surgical procedures.

THE CONSULTATION

Prior to the treatment, you will have a personal medical consultation which will explore your medical history in detail.

To ensure the correct outcome, I will need to understand what surgery or treatments you have had (or are planned for the future).

I will then talk with you about your desired outcome from the treatment and what you want to achieve. Knowing this will help me to work with you, to develop a solution that meets your needs. In addition to that, I will naturally take into account other factors such as your skin tone, hair colour, face symmetry and breast shape and size if I am designing new areoles for you.

During the design phase I will put my make-up artist skills in action and draw your new areola/nipple onto your skin.

You will be fully involved in this process. I will be your guide, but you will be the one to approve exactly what everything looks like.

Finally, I will work on your colours. Depending on how natural, subtle or strong you want the result, I will custom blend colours to perfectly match your requirements. Again, you will be fully involved in this part of the process and I won’t start any tattooing until you are fully satisfied with everything.

THE TREATMENT

The treatment itself involves gently implanting microscopic particles of pigment into the reticular layer of the skin. The specialist equipment used is refined, quiet and gentle. The treatment time will depend on your requirements and the treatment required.

THE RETOUCH

Your healed result will tend to look darker in appearance. However, this will soften in a few days, the colour will lighten considerably. You will need to follow a simple aftercare routine which involves basic care of the area and application of a gentle healing balm. After a few days the colour will gradually settle and increase in a pleasing intensity over the next few weeks. Depending on your treatment and degree of scarring, it could be that you require more than one appointment; however, this is entirely dependent on your individual circumstances and requirements.

CLEFT LIP TREATMENT:

I have years of experience and fully understand the implications of a cleft lip in terms of the lack of symmetry in the facial area.

Medical tattooing is similar to permanent cosmetic tattooing in terms of how it is done. However, the treatment stages, pigments, and techniques will be different depending on the severity of the cleft lip. To restore symmetry to your lips, I will work with you to design a look that meets your needs—you will see the final look and be able to approve it before I start tattooing the pigment into the skin.

Prior to the treatment:

You will have a personal medical consultation that will explore your medical history in detail. In order to ensure the correct outcome, I will need to understand what surgeries or treatments you have had (or have planned for the future). will then talk with you about your desired outcome from the treatment and what you want to achieve. Knowing this will help me work with you to develop a solution that meets your needs. I'll also take into account things like your style, skin tone, and facial features.

During the design phase:

You will be fully involved in the process while I draw your new lips onto your skin. I will help advise you and be your guide, but you will be the one to approve exactly what everything looks like.

Finally, we will work together on your colours. Depending on how natural, subtle, or dramatic you want the result, I will custom blend the pigments to perfectly match your requirements, whether you want a natural lip colour or a lipstick look.

The treatment:

This involves gently implanting microscopic particles of pigment into the reticular layer of the skin. The specialist equipment used is refined, quiet, and gentle. The treatment time will depend on your requirements and the treatment required. You should set aside 2–4 hours for your initial appointment.

After the treatment:

Immediately after your treatment, your lips will tend to look swollen and darker in appearance. However, this will soften in a few days, and the colour will lighten considerably. You will need to follow a simple aftercare routine that involves basic care of the area and the application of a gentle balm. After a few days, the colour will gradually settle and increase in intensity to a pleasing level over the next few weeks.
