AQUALYX® - Dissolvable Fat Injections

Since its 2013 introduction in the United Kingdom, Aqualyx® has been one of the most effective injections for fat removal.
Aqualyx® is an injectable fat-dissolving treatment that dissolves and destroys fat cells permanently. The lymphatic system then disposes of the broken cells naturally.

There may be a need for up to eight sessions to achieve the desired effect.

The effect of Aqualyx® dissolving unwanted fat is believed to be permanent. However, if you gain weight after the treatment, you may see diminishing results.

AQUALYX® FAQS

How long do Aqualyx® injections last?
If you maintain a healthy weight following Aqualyx® treatment, the results will be permanent.

How long does Aqualyx® take to dissolve fat?
The duration of a treatment session depends on the size of the area and the condition being treated. Each treatment can last between 30 and 60 minutes, and you will normally need between 2 and 8 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. Some people may see significant results after just 1 or 2 treatments.

What could possibly go wrong with Aqualyx®?
Some of the possible side effects of Aqualyx® may include skin irritation, redness, swelling, and discomfort in the treated areas. These side effects should subside within three to six days following treatment.

Does Aqualyx® cause sagging skin?
Unlike liposuction, AQUALYX® also causes some degree of skin contraction, so you are less likely to develop loose skin in the treated areas.

Does the stomach swell after an Aqualyx® treatment?
On the treated area, you may experience redness, swelling, and potential bruising immediately after treatment. It may feel like you have had a sunburn for several days. Aqualyx® induces an inflammatory response in the fat cells, which can result in some swelling for around three to five days.

How can you tell if Aqualyx® is effective?
In the weeks that follow your initial treatment, you will see a reduction in fat deposits in the affected areas. This varies from person to person and often takes between three and six weeks. Since Aqualyx® is a cumulative treatment, the outcomes will improve with each session until the desired results are achieved. There is no limit to the number of treatments you can have, so treatments can continue until the desired results are obtained.

Who should not use Aqualyx®?
Aqualyx® is not suggested for pregnant or nursing mothers. Additionally, it is contraindicated for individuals who have been diagnosed with lipodystrophy or who are immunocompromised for any cause, such as type 1 diabetes.

Do you need to consume water after taking Aqualyx®?
Yes, you will need to drink a lot of water after your Aqualyx® treatment because the broken down fat cells will flush out through your lymphatic system. Also, drink plenty of water between Aqualyx® treatments and follow a low-fat diet. This is because you do not want to place additional strain on your liver by requiring it to handle two fat sources.

Does Aqualyx® work under the chin?
Stubborn fat deposits in the chin area can be treated with Aqualyx®. The submental fat (double chin) is the most common location treated with Aqualyx®.
